Max Echinacea

max echinacea max echinacea supplement factsMax C-500 mg Plus is a formula that has potent antioxidant and stimulating the immune system, helping the body to fight infection.

Max C-500 mg Plus stimulates the activity and development of cells (blood) white blood, which in turn consume invading organisms that infect the body and cause the symptoms of colds and flu in development.

Another important mechanism of action of Max C-500 mg Plus is to stimulate T cells and interferon (a protein that stimulates the immune system). Max C-500 mg Plus also stimulates the internalization of foreign bodies by immune cells (phagocytosis) to remove them from circulation and increases the ability of macrophages to go to the site of infection.

COMPONENTS

Max-C 500mg Plus is a 100% organic formula that combines the properties of vitamin C and Rose Hips acting synergistically with Echinacea to provide reinforcement to the body’s natural defenses and to neutralize the influence of free radicals on the cells.
Vitamin C is a powerful nutrient used worldwide by millions of people. Vitamin C is essential for cells and tissues to operate and preserve properly.
Vitamin C protects health in multiple forms:

1. Infections
Vitamin C is “the immunity vitamin” because it helps the body to increase resistance to all common infections (viral and bacterial), can reduce symptoms of colds, and modestly shorten the duration of the disease by supporting the activity of white blood cells (the antibody response and interferon) which lose vitamin C during the illness. The body also combats unpleasant respiratory infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia more effectively when using vitamin C.

Many studies have found that vitamin C supplements taken at a dose of 1,000 mg or more daily during the cold season can reduce the cold symptoms and help recover faster.

2. Asthma and Allergies
Vitamin C is very effective combating allergies (asthma). With doses of 1000 mg or more per day, acts as an antihistamine. Studies show that a daily dose of 1,000 to 2,000 mg can improve lung function and reduce the likelihood of an asthma attack.

3. Antioxidant and Stress
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that protects against free radicals (naturally damaging substances). Vitamin C is a vitamin that boosts glutathione levels, regenerates vitamin E, and stimulates various free radical destroying enzymes. Some researchers believe that when vitamin C and E are present their antioxidant activity complements and is higher than when they act separately.

Vitamin C is also essential to combat stress because it is the main nutrient for the adrenal glands, which are the ones that secrete the hormones needed to function during stressful situations.

4. Collagen Guardian
Vitamin C plays an important role in the formation of collagen, a protein that is the main constituent of tendons and is also present in the skin, bone, ligaments and cartilage. Since vitamin C forms collagen and is a good antioxidant, it fights wrinkles, accelerates cicatrization by helping heal wounds, and repairs damaged tissues.

5. Heart Disease
Vitamin C protects blood fats to become atherosclerotic plaque, this is why it makes it one of our best tools to clean the arteries of fatty deposits. A high intake of vitamin C increases the “good” cholesterol (HDL) which is the form of cholesterol that protects the arteries and also reduces “bad” cholesterol (LDL) which builds up inside the arteries. Generally less cholesterol is absorbed from food when vitamin C is present, and when administered in doses of 2 grams per day to cardiac patients the abnormal arterial spasms or contractions that can generate strokes decreased.

Hypertension, another major risk factor for heart disease, also appears to depend on the state of vitamin C in the body which can help prevent heart attacks and strokes.

6. Diabetes
Here, vitamin C is almost as important as blood sugar well controlled. Besides helping to avert the accumulation of cholesterol, Vitamin C controls sugar levels in the blood and protects the body from damage caused by high blood sugar.

7. Vision disorders
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that can prevent cataracts and slow their growth. Vitamin C also relieves pressure within the eye, thus decreasing the risk of glaucoma.

8. Drug
Combined with a diet high in protein and B complex supplements, high doses of vitamin C has removed withdrawal symptoms in people recovering from heroin addiction. Lower doses may prevent consumers want the drug.

9. Other benefits

  1. Aids in the absorption of iron, and takes part in the production and activation of many chemicals in our bodies, among which include hemoglobin and red blood cells.
  2. Helps eliminate uric acid.
  3. Protects the gums against inflammation.
  4. Can lower the formation of gallstones.
  5. It helps neutralize and remove all kinds of toxins accumulated in the body.
  6. Increases the effectiveness of drugs used to fight urinary tract infections.

Some symptoms of vitamin C deficiency include bleeding gums, bruising, poor wound healing, dry skin, irritability, fatigue and joint pains.
The Rose Hip is a perennial spiny bush family Rosaceae, native to Europe, northwest Africa and western Asia. It has also been introduced in North America and elsewhere. Currently its distribution is quite broad.

In general, Rose Hips plant is rich in tannins. It also contains malic and citric acid, gummy materials, and small amounts of oils. In also contains pigments: carotenoids and flavonoids.

Max-C 500mg Plus is made with the almost mature rosehip fruit because the fruit contains the main components such as vitamins, carbohydrates, oils essential, tannins, pigments, etc. Perhaps the most characteristic property of the Rose Hips fruit is its high content of vitamin C, contains more than the kiwi, oranges, strawberries, and lemons. This is essential to strengthen the immune system against infection. Consequently, the Rose Hips are recommended as preventive medicine during the time of the flu because prevents the body by giving it resistance to disease. It is an excellent tonic in convalescence or during pregnancy and lactation because of its high vitamin content.
One tablet of Max-C 500mg Plus provides 500 mg of a combination of vitamin C as ascorbic acid and fruit extract of Rose Hips.
Now that the flu appears to be particularly virulent, Echinacea is a perfect supplement to increase the defenses and fight the flu virus. Echinacea is a plant native to and cultivated in North America, whose flowers and roots are used to prevent damage that can be caused by annoying seasonal changes. In its composition are polysaccharides, responsible for protecting cells from viral attacks and contributing alkamides, antifungal and antibacterial properties, and other anti-inflammatory action.
New research published in the journal The Lancet, indicates that the herbal remedy made from Echinacea decreases the chances of getting the flu by 85%. The researchers also say that this plant helps to heal the flu faster because the symptoms disappear about 36 hours earlier than normal.

Unlike a vaccine, which is active only against a specific disease, Echinacea stimulates the overall activity of the cells responsible for fighting all kinds of infection.
Using Echinacea has become popular for the treatment of colds, influenza and other viral or bacterial infections of the respiratory tract such as laryngitis, tonsillitis, and catarrhal conditions of the nose and sinuses. Echinacea is usually supplied to the first onset of symptoms and continued for 7-14 days.
Echinacea relieves allergies and also combats skin infections. Extracts applied to the skin (topical lotions) are as effective as topical indomethacin, a potent anti-inflammatory drug. The extracts have been used to improve the healing of skin ulcers, abscesses, eczema, acne, boils, burns, psoriasis, genital herpes and simple herpes.
Echinacea is equally beneficial for cellular activity on the functioning of the respiratory system. It prevents infection in the respiratory and genitourinary tracts and strengthens the immune system.

Echinacea is as effective as steroids in the treatment of arthritis symptoms without the side effects of the steroids. An additional advantage is that in addition to reducing inflammation Echinacea strengthens immunity, while steroids effectively suppress the immune system.

A tablet of Max-C 500mg Plus provides 100 mg of the herb Echinacea purpurea.

The combination of these components is based on the fact that each component has separate and distinct functions in the immune system in addition to its antioxidant function.

Vitamin C can be absorbed as ascorbic acid and dehydroascorbic acid by the buccal mucosa, stomach, and jejunum (small intestine); then it is transported through the portal vein to the liver to be later driven to the tissues that need it. It is excreted by the kidneys (in urine) mainly in the form of oxalic acid, while the unabsorbed vitamin C is eliminated in feces.

Vitamin C plays an important role in protecting against plasma lipid peroxidative damage and is involved in hydroxylation and amidation reactions, these being properties that contribute to strengthening the immune system. The increased intake of vitamin C has shown benefits in reducing the severity and duration of the common cold. It is known that during acute and chronic diseases the concentrations of vitamin C decrease significantly.

The common cold causes a significant decrease in vitamin C leukocyte. Vitamin C is necessary for the cell-mediated immune response, like the functions of leukocytes and macrophages, neutrophils motility, phagocytosis, antimicrobial activity, and interferon synthesis.

The Rose Hips fruit stands out for its high content of vitamin C (up to 1%); it actually has 5 times more vitamin C than lemon. It also contains tannins, carotenoids, flavonoids, pectin, and Vitamins A, D and K.

The large amount of vitamin C contained in the Rose Hips fruit provides antiscorbutic properties, it is very effective against colds, and prevents the body by providing it with disease resistance. It is an excellent tonic in convalescence and promotes enzymatic processes.

Many properties are attributed to Echinacea, including strengthening the immune system as well as antioxidant, antibiotic, antibacterial, and antiviral which are used to prevent and treat upper respiratory infections. It also speeds up the recovery time from infection without any of the typical side effects of antibiotic drugs, especially intestinal yeast overgrowth that causes many chronic diseases.

Echinacea’s action relates to the immune intelligence, helping to fight infections and stimulating immune responses. It activates macrophages to destroy pathogenic micro-organisms such as neoplastic cells, it also increases the levels of phagocytosis and lymphokines elevating white blood neutrophils, eosinophils, monocytes, and lymphocytes type B (antibody producers). It also acts on the properdin system, raising their levels and activating the complement system.

Echinacea prevents infection and partially helps repair tissues affected by the infection, through inhibiting the activity of hyaluronidase enzyme. This enzyme is part of the primary defense mechanism, which includes connective tissue substances such as hyaluronic acid, acting as a barrier against pathogens.

Some microbes activate the hyaluronidase enzyme that begins to destroy the integrity of the hyaluronic acid, which weakens the barriers allowing the penetration of microorganisms that invade and adhere to the exposed cells, penetrate the membrane, and kill the affected cells. Echinacea inhibits the hyaluronidase action by somehow uniting to this enzyme, resulting in a temporary improvement of the barriers so that a smaller number of pathogens can stimulate the destruction of the barriers.

This process is mediated by various principles of Echinacea, especially Echinacea B. This anti-hyaluronidase action is associated to the regeneration of the connective tissue that is destroyed during the infection and the elimination of pathogens causing the infection.

Echinacea’s polysaccharides have great activating forces on defense systems mediated by macrophages, which initiate the destruction of pathogens. Echinacea activates the macrophages independently of any effect on T cells. This explains the immune-stimulating properties and anti-viral properties of the plant.
The other active substances in Max C 500mg Plus have shown to have good bacteriostatic and anesthetic properties.

For adults take one tablet daily preferably with a meal or as directed by a health professional.
To keep in good condition the body’s defense system, it is advisable to take MAX C-500 mg Plus since the beginning of winter. Once the flu symptoms start dose may be increased to three (3) tablets daily.

To be most effective, MAX C-500 mg Plus should be taken as soon as symptoms of colds or flu occur. At the first sign of a sore throat or sneezing, it is advisable to start taking MAX C-500 mg Plus.
